Getting to know me

Ok so I've seen a lot of these "10 Day You Challenge" on blogs and I've decided to do it! It looks fun and it will help people get to know me plus give me an easy way to start blogging about stuff. 


ten secrets
1- I have a minor street racing problem. It usually comes out when I'm driving on state street. It bugs me when people drive faster than me so then I start going faster just to "win". The funny thing is I drive a '99 corolla so the sports cars usually win...lame.
*I would also like to note that I have been ticket-free for eight months 


2- I don't know how much of a secret this is but I literally drink a diet coke every day. I think the word addicted is a little harsh, but let's be honest, I probably am. If you don't believe me just go to McDonalds and ask the Drive-Thru people if they know Courtney Thomas. I keep them in business, I spend $1.08 there every day!


3- I can't brush my teeth without using a cup to rinse. I've had this problem since I was little. It grosses me out when people put their mouth on the faucet to suck in water or when they use their hand to cup it in and then slurp out of it. I have these special pink cups that I rotate using. They gross Drew out because even though I wash them, they have toothpaste stains in the shape of my lip stained on them...tmi?


4- Spiders are the things I hate most in this world. Just thinking about them makes me cringe. Whenever I see a spider I can't even kill it because I'm too grossed out. So I have this special routine that I do whenever I see one. I trap it. The trap usually consists of putting a cup over it and then putting something heavy on the cup so the spider can't crawl under it. Then when Drew gets home and he sees an upside down cup in a random spot, he knows what to do.


5- I am a super picky eater. There are only limited varieties of foods that I can handle. For the past week my diet has consisted of diet coke and cheeze-its. Poor Drew. Last night he had cup-of-noodles and cookies. I know I'm pathetic. My two favorite dinner options are eating out and going to my mother-in-laws house for dinner where she makes me my favorite foods.


6- I LOVE gum. But I am rarely allowed to buy it because when I do I eat the whole pack in a day. I don't know how this happens but it does. And then when Drew asks for a piece the next day and there's an awkward pause when I'm trying to figure out how to tell him I already chewed it all...this is why I need the big orbit packs from costco.


7- In junior high I was obsessed with the movie Mean Girls. I would seriously watch it every day after school. One time I wrote an english paper and I used the words "so fetch" and "coolness" and "grool" and my dumb english teacher called my mom and told her I had been watching that movie too much. So I had to re-write my paper and my mom took the movie away for one month. Note-this was also the same english teacher who sent me to the principal's office for having an "attitude"...


8- I have always wanted to get a bunny and potty train it so it can just hop around my house all day. I think it would be the cutest thing ever! People would come over and be like "oh my what a cute...dog?" and I'd be like "oh actually it's my bunny Lulu!" Too bad Drew is against this dream of mine. He says it would be "embarrassing" to have a house-trained rabbit. Plus Reggie and Rosie might be mean to it. 


9- There's always been a special place in my heart for lakes and oceans. Specifically Bear Lake. Growing up there over the summers and taking the wave runners out every weekend. My first ride telling my grandma "faster, faster!" Tubing with my cousins. Driving the wave runner all by myself when I was only eight. And I love oceans and beaches. I'm not talking about gross ones in California where the water is always cold. I'm talking about the beaches in Maui and Kauai. One of my favorite vacations ever was when we took a two week vacation after my high school graduation and we spent a week in Maui and a week in Kauai. Literally all day for two weeks me and my sister would just lay in the sand and play in the massive waves. Drew and I also went to the beach in Nassau on our cruise. It was gorgeous! Ah I miss. It is also a dream of mine to visit Cape Cod on the east coast (too bad it's freezing!)


10- I love reading. I would choose books over tv any given day. It's my dream to have my own library in my house! I definitely don't read as much as I used to but I am working on changing that. I think it is amazing how books take you to a whole new world and you become part of it. You start having all these emotions for everything that is going on in the story. It's incredible!
